Ultimate Setlist: Every Time I Die
After seeing their set at Warped Tour, I decided that Every Time I Die had to be the next band to compile my Ultimate Setlist for. To say their live show is insane is an insult to the criminally insane. I’ve loved them for over 10 years now. I remember hearing The Emperor’s New Clothes on WSOU and thinking to myself I had to pick up their album. Next chance I got, went to the record store to find out they had 2 albums; I distinctly remember having both Burial Plot Bidding War and Last Night in Town in each hand, trying to decide which one to buy. A buddy was with me and told me he heard Pincushion and I should get Last Night. I told him I heard Emperor and I should get Burial Plot. Then I bought both.
ETID have quietly (or... “under the radar” I guess; nothing this band does is quiet) moved into the slot of my favorite active band. That fact alone made making this list that much more daunting. This is a situation where I’d take any sort of combination of these songs; my guess is the band would be able to make it flow way better than I ever could. That being said, after careful deliberation and countless order changes, this is what I came up with. Also, added a Youtube playlist at the bottom. View at your own risk.

Tried to include as many quality live versions as possible, and as little advertisements as possible; I think there’s only one, and it had to be done because the video for Kill the Music is just incredible (yes, that is Michael Madsen). I also encourage you to check the lyrics out for most of the songs. Keith Buckley is this generation’s Bob Dylan. He’s a wordsmith in the truest sense of the word, and just so happens to be a lunatic on stage. Wittiest guy in hardcore.
Honorable Mentions: Ebolarama, Pigs is Pigs, Drag King
