My fourth article for The Hard Times has no satire and only a little snark. I reviewed the Code Orange record release show that they played to an empty venue and live streamed on Twitch.

I was recently the guest on The Pitch Group, a podcast under The Hard Times umbrella for contributing writers.

I promised myself that when my child was born, I would seriously cut back on beer intake, spending, chasing, acquiring, trading, etc. I have tried to do that to the best of my ability, but the sweet sweet nectar's siren song has yet to release it's stranglehold on me.

The next year leading up to the 2020 election is going to be an absolute nightmare. Might as well try to laugh about it.

The Hard Times came out with a book, and I was lucky enough to have my name listed as a contributor.

So this article did pretty well, but it seems that I made a very powerful enemy in the Gin Blossom fan base. I kid because I care.

Back in March, I submitted a packet of headline ideas to everyone's favorite punk and hardcore-inspired satire site The Hard Times. My packet was accepted and I was added to the official Facebook pitch group. I suppose that itself is rewarding enough, but it was a pretty good feeling when my first headline got approved to write.

Last year, I went to Tennessee Tech University to document an engineering conference. Specifically, me and a colleague were charged with creating a web mini-series based around a student design competition.

As 2017 shows itself out the door like a houseguest that's overstayed it's welcome, it's time for one of my favorite exercises of the year.
