On October 26th, 2020, the Hard Times editor-in-chief made a call for pitches in the Pitch Group Facebook Page for contributing writers. One comment was flagged as inappropriate. The contributor was me.

My 10th article for The Hard Times is easily the one I'm most proud of up to this point.

Truth be told, when I pitched this headline I really had no idea about this band. When doing research for the article, I found myself actually liking some of their earlier songs.

Normally I don't like to make fun of bands/people like this. Trapt is one of the few exceptions. They really suck.

Oof. If there was ever a year that needed copious amounts of beer, it was 2020. Didn’t travel too much, but drank a lot. A LOT.

20 fuckin' 20 eh? If a year could be the opposite of a banger, it'd be this one. But it did produce some amazing music.

My former boss always said don't be afraid to go for the low-hanging fruit. I am not above an easy joke for the sake of the greater good.

I wrote this article back in February, but since shows don't happen anymore it took 9 months to get posted. Oh well.

My latest piece for The Hard Times is not at all based in reality. My wife and I are happily married with two amazing kids. I just thought this was a funny premise.

My mother recently retired after a lengthy and fulfilling career in the insurance industry. Her resume was beyond impressive, but even more impressive is the lasting friendships she made along the way.
